• Spotlight on Oracle
  A great detect-diagnose-resolve tool that helps customers identify root causes of the performance issues in Oracle Databases in real time and also advises what needs to be done to resolve the problem. This solution has an in-depth drill down capability that will help customer quickly diagnose the problem and resolve it. There are different versions of this product and the Xpert version also provides the same capability on Oracle RAC as well.



• Spotlight on Oracle E-business Suite
  A tool similar to the above with the same capabilities except that it covers the Oracle E-Business environment that many customers have.



• Foglight
  A framework solution for monitoring and managing an enterprise’s I.T. infrastructure with a focus on ensuring that the applications and databases are performing to the best possible levels and highly available. The biggest differentiator is the capability of the solution to collect performance data from difference pieces in the infrastructure and do a correlation analysis on the same to help customers identify the root cause of the problem and help them solve the same. For example, a performance issue can be because of an issue with the application itself, or the database or the network or the server hardware itself or a combination of some of them / all of them. How does one quickly identify root cause of the problem…Foglight helps here and gives customer a good view of where problems lie and helps them resolve these quickly.



• Foglight for Performance Analysis
  Oracle – A solution that, in addition to providing real time detect-diagnose-resolve capability, also provides customer with capability to do performance analysis on Oracle Databases over a longer period of time. It helps customers get a good view of the performance issues that they may have faced over a period of say…1 month or 6 month or 1 year and take decisions necessary for ensuring best performance levels from their Oracle databases including capacity planning etc. The same capability is also available on SQL server databases.



• SharePlex
  Oracle databse replication tool that replicates data by looking at the re-do logs. Quests proprietary technology ensures that the databases on both source and target sites are always identical – even in the event of a downtime on the servers or the replication link. The replication link can be a WAN link also. It is a great tool for Database consolidation, migration and uni-directional and bi-directional replication. Typical scenarios will include one to one replication, one to many replication, many to many replication and many to one replication. It is also a great tool for customer to set up a separate ‘reporting instance’ so that the reporting load on their main database can be removed completely.



• LiteSpeed Engine for Oracle
  a back up engine that helps compress oracle database backups by as much as 85%. It works in the back ground and allows customer to use RMAN for backup. Once RMAN command is given, RMAN will do the backup which will them be compressed in the background using LiteSpeed Engine for Oracle. A great space saver tool that also helps customers encrypt their backups for added security.
